For my end of the year English project, we have to write a play on a Saints life. Everyone basically picked a Catholic Saint but I asked my teacher if I could pick a Saint from another faith-Orthodox. She said it was okay. I want to do Saint Elizabeth (Grand Duchess) because I have a book on her that I've already read by Lubov Miller. It has an extensive amount of information on her life and even quotes by her so it would work really well. It basically has to be about their life. I wanted to pick her for 2 reasons. One, I knew her well and have a good book that I can look on to for any help and two, I though that picking her would be interesting since she lived during communist Russia. I was just wondering though, if choosing her would be okay. I feel that maybe it's a bit..."wrong" to perhaps use an Orthodox Saint in this way. On the other hand, it is only about her life, nothing else, but I'm still not too sure. Anyone have any opinions?
Thanks
