Ironically I study theology so yes it does happen to me. I get moments of wondering what I am doing here etc. Best thing to do is just try and keep God in mind and realise everything is for a purpose.

Yes, I too am a senior in high school, and I often find myself in such a position, particularly last semester; I actually made excuses not to go to church, so that I ended up only going once or twice every three weeks  . Admittedly, a couple of times was for the play we were performing, but as for the other times, all I feel is shame. But ever since that time, I've really started to clean up my act and all, so I feel more spiritually energized than... well... ever, I think.

peace,

Oh hey, when you come back, here's a few more words that may be able to help. I find that when we are looking at a very full, busy schedule, it is all too easy to forget about the role God plays in every single thing that we do. His providence, His will, guides all things, including the mundane tasks of our lives and the most strenuous trials we are subjected to. Therefore, I find that whenever I am very busy, I try to recite the prayer of Jesus (to pray without ceasing) that I may focus my mind and my spirit on God, so that whatever it is that I am doing is transfigured into something I can really appreciate I am doing. It is like even if you are vacuuming or doing schoolwork, giving yourself two seconds to breathe and to focus your mind on God for peace really sets what you are doing into its place.

peace,

edit: oh, yeah, and it also does wonders for inspiring prayerful, spiritual reflection in your mind

It happens to me a lot lately. Since I'm stationed far from home, my Spiritual Father has recommended an old friend of his at a parish near my housing. Hopefully it will help, but by his prayers I'm sure it will. Oh, and Justin, good luck with training. What branch are you joining?
