Dear George,
I too must take time to solidify my feelings and thoughts about the EP's statements and the appropriate reponses they should elicit. And I do think we perhaps have a mild disagreement of degree and timing of those responses.
The only issue I have with your re-considered position is in your stating that the EP's opinions are "Dogma". Where do you get the impression that any sole Orthodox bishop can pronounce the Dogma of the Church? He is not the Pope of Rome (as much as he may appear to desire that power). I, as an Orthodox Christian, feel no obligation to heed nor agree with his "two-lungs" rhetoric - for that is what it is. Certainly not 'dogma'?
If you feel breaking communion with him is appropriate, I am not going to decry that nor condemn you, but merely state I prefer a different approach.
I appreciate the generally civil dialogue found for the most part on this forum and with you in particular.
