Anybody who has read Peter Breggin's "Toxic Psychaitry" will be hesitant to judge anyone who has been a victim of the Soviet mental health system. Dissendents both political and religious were turned in zombies by drugs such as Haldon and accordinly diagnosed as "sluggish schizophrenics".
Fr Dmitri's zeal before arrest and his subsequent "betrayal" is that of another person - possibly destroyed by neuroleptic drugs.
I will certainly pray for him at the Proskomedia.
Why is it so difficult for you to do what is asked of you and to call him by his name? It is a matter of respect. He has asked that you respect his choices to b called Nicholas and no matter how many times he asks you refuse. Sadly this seems to be the case with many people.
Respect... maybe its dead along with descency and honor.
