I was not aware about communing anti-chaleadon christians, but its not my worry. I'm not a clergy member or a hierarch so its not my authority to question or judge that actions of a hierarch. I myself am not Orthodox yet and am already tired of all the Jurisdictional fighting. Its a waste of time and of no benefit to your "Life in Christ". I give up on it. I'll just stick with trying to grow in Christ the best way I know I can in the Antiochian Orthodox Church. After reading all these posts on here, I am really content in the Antiochian Orthodox Church. I dont want to end up sounding like a pharisee.

When it comes to heresy (or communion with heresy), it's everyone's duty to stand vigilant for the truth*. There is no possible way that someone can argue differently. Not from canons. Not from the works of Saints. Not from historical example. No way.

I'm glad that you don't want to "sound" like a pharisee. But it's more important not to be a pharisee. Somewhere along the way the idea that we should hold firm to the traditions delivered to us got equated with being a pharisee. :(

  • Now, I said "stand vigilant," I didn't say abandon ship at the first sign of an iceburg.

...or, just not be received by the Antiochians.

Why do you think you have to be a monastic to do something about it anyway? You don't have to be a monk, priest, deacon, bishop or anything to fight against heresy?

My Spiritual Father who is ROCOR said it would have taken me longer.
He talked with my priest and found the priest to be a good Antiochian Priest,
and a good parish so he told me to go there.

Long Hair, Beared, Cassock and Rason always, never a dog collar, no pews,
ect... so thats why I am antiochian.

As far is the "quick conversion" I am under special circumstances because I am going to Marine Corps boot camp in 5 months, thats my reason.
