Fr Ambrose used the word "mafia" in his satire because Fr Basil's source actually reported from the conference http://groups.yahoo.com/group/orthodox- ... ssage/9725 that "The whole show is run by a "mafia" (please excuse the term, but I cannot find anything better). But it looks like the majority of (our ROCA) Priests are very dissatisfied with the thought of any fast dealings with the MP. The final word will come from the Bishops after the Sobor at the Synod next week......"
Apparently Fr Ambrose thinks that "confirming the traditional teaching of ROCIR[sic] that the Moscow Patriarchate is a creation of the Soviet period and is not the Russian Church." is so absurd that we will all see his point - whatever it is - perhaps that the MP is the "Mother Church?" which seems to be considered an irrefutable fact in new ROCOR thinking.
