A Blessed Name Day To All Nicholas'

Post by Грешник »

To all Nicholas' and those whose names are a derivative thereof:

May you this day be blessed and may your patrons look down upon you. That through their prayers and intercessions you might gain an Eternal Reward. May this day be a joyous one with many tidings of gladness.

Wishing you all the best!

Juvenaly

(Let's see just how many Nicholas' come out of the woodwork shall we?)

As far as I know the Church of Christ along with his saints and holy angels only celebrate this great feastday once - on Dec. 6/19 :)

Frighteningly I got this info off of a ROCOR site while looking for information on my patron. I know that St. Nicholas of Myra's feast day is 6 days before mine and this is what the site said:

St. Juvenaly (with St. Peter the Aleut) is commemorated in the Synaxis of the First Martyrs of the American Land on Dec. 12 according to the calendar of the ancient Church (December 25 on the New Style calendar).

I have written to the webmaster regarding this and hopefully as with this mistake    this was also just an honest mistake on the part of the webmaster of All Saints of North America

Sorry for the most unfortuunate error on my part. I shall re-attempt this post on the REAL date. :ohvey:   :?
