Oh, that kind of clears it up for me. It isn't a big issue for me as I don't really eat meat, but I still wonder, do modern methods of butchering drain the blood so that it doesn't get into the tissue? I know nothing about it, but I am pretty sure that (at least in NZ), the animals are electrocuted.

I have hardly touched meat in the last four or five years, and I have found this has helped to calm certain passions I struggled with greatly. Well, if he renounced the heresies that the Roman Church has proclaimed the last 1000 years or so, and returned the Roman Church to Orthodox belief, then that could happen. I think it is true in pretty much every language - after all there are ways of speaking, or choice of words in English that would be more feminine than masculine, but the difference between male and female speech is a bit more pronounced in Japanese than in English. There are plenty of Orthodox Churches in Japan too. I know - I 'm Japanese Orthodox. (If you are stationed in Okinawa though, I don't think there are any Churhces....). if in Yokosuka, there are Churches not too far away in Yokohama, and the main Cathedral in Tokyo, a very short walk from Ochanomizu...
