Sources of Pure Extra Virgin Olive Oil, not adulterated oil

The resting place of threads that were very valid in 2004, but not so much in 2024. Basically this is a giant historical archive.

I still have to remember that grove !

Meanwhile I was researching Organic Coconut Oil and was led to Dr Bronner's site by a Whole Foods writeup.

I saw that their company imports Palestinian Olive Oil. Whether that is Extra Virgin or not, is not specified clearly, as it seems mostly for
the company's famous mild soaps. I used to use them when traveling abroad or even domestically, as having a liquid, fairly decent healthy
soap is a plus when on the road and in a hurry.

So, intrigued by a mention of the owner fielding protests from a Zionist Lobby point of view [I figured like "How dare you import Palestinian products?],
I decided to see what the reply was.

For me this is not enough of a firm stance on behalf of Palestinians [remember Palestiniams are often Christian - usually Orthodox - or Catholic,
with almost NO Protestants. At the time of the Crusades, the Palestinians were as I understand heavily Christian, hence the ludicrous nature of
the attempt to conquer the Holy Land to help out fellow Christians by the notoriously rash, brash, plundering, uncivilized European armies.]

I am posting the link to a pdf file in case any other Dr Bronner consumers would be interested.
To me, it's important to know the outlook of the head of the company. Their new Sri Lanka project with Extra Virgin Organic Coconut Oil
is probably fairly good quality.

But I think I would pass on their products from now on, and finish up all the very old Dr Bronners liquid soaps quickly and find a new source.
In today's market there are so many healthy Olive Oil Soaps available. I like the French type from Marseille made with nothing but Olive Oil and a few
safe ingredients.

What about the Greek brands?

Does anyone know of an excellent source of pure extra virgin (organic) olive oil that is not cut with cheap soybean oil or rancid Turkish hazelnut oil?

I have tried different olive oils from various markets and from the bitter taste, I can tell that they are not pure olive oil. I avoid the Italian olive oil as that one is controlled by mobsters. I have not been successful in obtaining any pure extra virgin Italian olive oil that has not been adulterated.

Swish the oil around in your mouth. There should not be any bitter after taste. If there is, then it is rancid.

Lord Jesus Christ, have mercy on me a sinner.

One Spanish brand that Whole Check Foods used to carry is :
D.O. Baena

I think it's a sound Olive Oil. It's possible Whole Foods still stocks this brand ; just not at smaller stores now.

Try that, Maria [if you can find it]. Let me know what you think.
