Dear Father Siluan,

Since the sources say that the relics are not of St. Seraphim of Sarov then that would mean that the Muscovite Bishops were negligent of this truth or had lied to the Unia when they lent the holy remains.
Either way we can all agree that Saints are within the One, Holy, Catholic, and Apostolic Church and not outside of her. Since Papists are outside the Church there is no spiritual benefit for the holy relics to be lent to the Unia. As Jean-Serge and I agree this will only strengthen the Unia, which for the last 400+ years has sought to convert Orthodox Christians to heresy through subterfuge. It pains me still when after what the Saints themselves warn us about betraying the Faith many "hierarchs" are so willing do so. Perhaps this quote explains the why?

Saint John of Shanghai and San-Francisco has thus characterized the signs of the end of the world: "There will be a mass falling away from faith, moreover many bishops will betray faith justifying themselves by pointing at the splendid state of the Church. People will be disposed to search for compromise. A forthright confession of faith will disappear. People will excel in justifying their fall, and tender evil will contribute to such general disposition, and people will become accustomed to apostasy and to sweetness of compromise and sin." [344]

Dear Kosmas:

I agree with you. According to many sources these would not be the true relics St. Seraphim, but those of another Saint, then anyway it would mean that MP lent and shares relics with heretics.

First St. Nicholas and now St. Seraphim. I hope that this will be the benefit of conversion for the papists. Perhaps there is a greater plan that God is establishing.

Let us trust in God and that He is allowing this for a reason, perhaps something to come in time.

Or perhaps, He has decided that St. Seraphim's relics will be protected better in Italy than in Russia. We don't know what the future will bring, but God knows.

One thing for sure is that God will not allow anything bad happen to the saint's relics; just like St. Nicholas'.

But, don't trust in anything that the previous pope did that looks like sympathy to Orthodoxy. He would never have relinquished his power to Orthodoxy or to God. Whatever he did was calculated and had nothing to do with faith.

For Chirst, dear sister, all this to support World Orthodoxy? 8)

I would like to add a major precision : the relics were lent to the catholic monastery only for the service and after that brought back to the MP parish of Namur.

I also think this serves the unia and spiritual adogmatism... It is a way to say : we have tha same saints.

i dont know if the holy relics belong really to st Seraphim....
but the fact is that ceremonies like this lead to confusion....
orthodox with papists praying together....
Antichrist side by side with humble Jesus.....
