Theophan:
Hatred of any degree is still hatred and it is wrong. Christ himself told us to love one another. He did not specify just a particular brand of Orthodox brother or just a particular race or creed. Love is the strongest force against evil and evil influences. If I practice love for my fellow human, creature etc ....am I not fulfilling God's commandment to us? And if I am busy doing this, do I really have time for hatred? I don't think so. And if by my efforts at practicing God's love, I bring someone else to God then I feel blessed that God helped me do so.
Hatred accomplishes nothing but more hatred. One need but to look around to see this is true. Through hatred we allow the devil to cause derision, to divide us against ourselves, to derail us from the road to salvation.
The fact that people hold prejudices against multi-racial marriages in my own humble opinion is because we have allowed hatred into our hearts. As to our jewish brothers.....perhaps if we, Christians, had been truer to our beliefs more of them would have followed in our footsteps, but mankind's hatred and need to "blame" someone has only divided us further and caused the devil to triumph over us.
There is no need to call attention to
the evil influences of jewish power
evil exists in all forms be it Jewish, tsarist, islamist, white, black, supremist, American, Russian, Arabic , German, Irish, English or any other epitaph you want to bring up. It is because hatred and evil live in our hearts and as a result we let devil use us to create more evil.
Perhaps it is time to not concentrate on the evil that seeks to divide us and destroy us, but rather to concentrate on what will unite us and what will save us from ourselves. It far past time to turn to God and ask His help to save ourselves.
