Thank you for your further clarifications.

I'm sorry about the ill-feeling towards ROCOR.

Dear Michael,

There is no ill-feeling on my part or I would presume on Fr Silouan's part towards ROCOR. Both of our jurisdictions recieved their Apostolic Sucession from ROCOR and we venerate the great Saints that ROCOR has given to the Church of Christ such as St Philerat the confessor, St John the wonderworker, Blessed Averky of Jordanville, etc. We share the same faith as they held.

However the fact remains that ROCOR in the UK since the death of Archbishop Nicodem of Blessed memory has been sliding down the road of greater and greater modernism and false ecumenism finally arriving at the point when all her priests but one (Archimandrite Seraphim in Birmingham who continues on in the remenent of ROCOR still under Met Vitaly) have been defrocked by their first Hierarch and are definitely outside of the Church given the fact that the Bishop (Archbishop Mark) they are under commemorates the Soviet Patriarch of Moscow.

We mourn the destruction of so many souls for whom Christ died but pretending things are not as they are will not change the facts.

Theophan.

Of course, my "ill-feeling" is not for ROCOR (I love the old and historical ROCOR) but it is towards the Lavrite or pseudo ROCOR. Also, It is also good to say that there are still many inside ROCOR-L to who I respect for their courage and strugler againts their bishops who are uniting the MP.

Again, thank you both for your responses. I have had my questions about the Milan Synod answered and I am grateful to all who have contributed here for that.
