Favoritism?

The resting place of threads that were very valid in 2004, but not so much in 2024. Basically this is a giant historical archive.

We have had complaints of perceived favoritism towards Kolyvas who is a member of the MP as well as Orthodox6 who is in the OCA. In the past we had complaints of perceived favoritism towards TomS who is in the GOA as well as CGW & Ebor who are Anglicans.

We have also had complaints of perceived favoritism of some traditionalists over the years. As long as we are getting complaints about and from both sides of the fence as well as those still sitting on the fence, I think we are doing a good job at being fair. Sometimes being fair just means having to discipline other poster's adversaries and their favorites too.

I agree, Dear father Nikolai, we don't have any favorite one here, we simply receive always reproach from people for we banned their favorite ones.

CHRIST IS RISEN!

Well, I disagree with banning him. And how long will it be this time?

BTW. I know of others, who were with ROCOR who know plenty of things about the grabbes, Met Laurus and others. I knew about the grabbes from last year and those who told me about their disgraceful behaviour knew about it for decades. They tried saying something too, but were attacked for demanding justice served.

What Rostislav mentioned is common knowledge but, of course taboo to mention. It's unfortunate that people want to shut their ears and eyes to immoral conduct just because it's clergy.

Of course, then there are those who attacked St. John and tried to justify it with lies. I'm referring to that sick attack against him that brought him to trial. This is also common knowledge and EVERYBODY knows who is responsible for THAT. Don't we?

Create in me a clean heart, O God, and renew a right spirit within me. (Ps. 50)

Attacking saints

TRULY HE IS RISEN!

Indeed, I find the personal attacks on the Grabbes, who I have blessed to know personally, to be simillar to the personal attacks towards Saint John. I am sure that one day Bishop Gregory (Grabbe) will indeed be glorified by a traditionalist Orthodox Church just like Saint Philaret was for among many things, his helping keeping the rudder of the ROCA straight all the years he was allowed to.
