"+" is a sign of his hierarchical rank. +hilarion = +bishop hilarion. Unlike the ep or rome, no the MP Bishops do not control every word said abroad. +hilarion tends to be the worst; regardless the pope isn't welcome in Russia.

the Pope isnt welcomed by MP, its a true fact that the MP has been tied in with state(red) for many years now, can it be safe to say that slowly but surely the MP is trying to withdrAW FROM THE WORLD OF ECUMENISM little by little by not alarming the government that this is taking place.
if indeed the Mp and Ep have been exchanging phone calls with respect, this Ep welcoming of the Pope is gonna stir up some difficulties within EP and MP, i think a statement will soon follow from MP about Ep and the Popes involvement.....unfortunately i dont see a wrong in this, after all the apostolic succession in the physical sense has never been broken by rome, unfortunately most of the Bishops of rome from the latter part of the 10th century till today have taught and allowed there heresy to be accepted and confused as the truth, therefore losing the Spirit of Truth side of that Apostolic succesion.to try and save there souls and bring them back into Orthodox is good, but will never work...
it would mean that the latin church would have to drop all they have taught for 1000 years- it will never happen, but atleast a couple of Bishops of Orthodox tried...

CorpusChristi' response has faith hope and love.

If faith like the grain of a mustard seed can move mountains, then perhaps there is a chance for Rome to be Orthodox again. Anything is possible with Christ - we have to be faithful. There were many good Orthodox latins in ancient times. Hope springs eternal.

If we stick up for all Orthodox traditions, especially and including the Orthodox Calendar, the proper Nicene Creed, the Sanctity of the Saint's relics, the primacy of Jesus Christ as head of the Church, and the proper honor due the Mother of God - God will be faithful and mountains will move. Love conquers all.

PS. The Orthodox Calendar is the true calendar, the Liturgical Calendar, the miraculous Calendar preferred by Heaven and Earth.
