Ecumenist will say : prayer indicates communion and not a simple prayer... So we can pray with heretics.

I would like to know the interpretation of the 9th canon of Laodicea

Canons du Synode de Laodicée

1. Qu'il ne faut pas s'approcher des cavernes des hérétiques pour y prier.
   Il ne faut pas permettre que les membres de l'église se rendent dans les cimetières ou dans ce qu'on appelle les martyria de n'importe quels hérétiques, pour y célébrer le service divin ou y faire leurs dévotions; les fidèles qui n'observeront pas cette règle, seront excommuniés pendant quelque temps et seront réconciliés lorsqu'ils auront fait pénitence et confessé leur faute.

Personal translation :

The members of the Church must not be allowed to go to the graveyards or what are called the "martyria" of heretics to celebrate the divine service or to pray

Is this applicable for those who go to heretics' churches? What do the Fathers say about this canon?
