Forgive me Father But in our custom when one speaks Of CHRIST and his Church it isnt to be taken as a joke. reguardless of how much some Christians have gotten off course, it is not up to us to Judge them...
you know how long its been since Ive been to church? Why, because there isnt any Churchs around. well there is a lot of churches, But I am
s just ordained with Holy Icons and Russian Crosses and when i go by them on sundays i see pious Priests and monks with the Lay People talking and smiling, while i have no where to go..............its been years since Ive been able to commune, because of this...and who is to blame ? is all this because Of Politics, and have I been given Bogus info and been deceived by the evil one to stay away from church and Holy communion, for aslong as I have? I wonder myself to sleep in tears as those in the church feel Saved, I in turn feel abandoned............................is it a Lie or is it the Truth..
told they arent real church
ROCOR and MOSCOW PATRIARCH
I am speaking seriously. I don't see any jokes here. Snide comments like that only confirm that it is the clear desire of anti-MP factions to paint this propagandistic picture of the MP as godless, corrupt, and supporting the ideologies of religious syncretism and moral relativism. This is clearly what those on the "right" are doing. Although not present on the internet, there are other break away groups that complain that the MP uses the Julian Calendar, does not have women clergy, married bishops, refuses to allow Russian in Church Services, etc. Then we also have the "Kiev Patriarchate" and the "Ukrainian Autocephalous Orthodox Church", which view the MP as a vessel of Great Russian Nationalism and chauvinism. They tend to be much more "ecumenical" than the MP. When Pope John Paul II visited Kiev, "Patriarch" Filaret met him, while Metropolitan Vladimir did not and furthermore criticized Filaret for doing so and praying with the Pope.
So, you can see that the MP has critics from all angles.
Repentance means to change. We can focus on the sad and terrible events of the Soviet period. We can quote the New Martyrs and Confessors or the saintly hierarchs of ROCOR on the events (or perception of those events) of that time. But the Soviet era is over and the MP is much different now. One only has to come to Russia and see.
If we are going to be so judgemental over past events, then we should become Donatists, or maybe worse deny the reality that people (even Bishops and Hierarchal Synods) can repent. If that is the case, the all your sins you have ever committed will condemn you at judgement day. Some of these sins you may still struggle with, some you no longer. You may have been to confession, repented, and stopped committing a certain sin. But, you are guilty and forever guilty because, there is no repentance, only condemnation.
THANK GOD THAT IS NOT THE REALITY!

"Thus, with regret our whole Church has had to endure powerful disturbances hitherto unseen. As if from deep within the bosom of the body of the Church cracks began to appear, though they have not yet developed into deep fissures. We look on with fear as in places they are trying to transform these chinks into rifts which split apart not only the flock, but even the clergy..." - Address of the Council of Bishops of the Russian Orthodox Church Outside of Russia to Its Flock (2001)

I guess I have to repeat myself again to make this point clear. The present Patriarchate in MP is mostly uncanonical. The canons state that only a synod of bishops can choose a patriarch and the point is that this synod never took place in the case of Patriarch Sergej. And all his successors must therefore too be in this state and especially so when they come from Sergej and the rennovationist Church. The russian church exists in Russia, it is ROAC.

"Even when Stalin died in March, 1953, the patriarchate could not restrain its devotion. Thus “Patriarch” Alexis called him “the great builder of the people’s happiness… His death has been taken with deep grief by the whole of the Russian Orthodox Church, which will never forget his benevolent attitude towards the needs of the Church. His radiant memory will never be erased from our hearts. Our Church intones ‘eternal memory’ to him with a special feeling of unceasing love.”

Show me one statement were Patriarch Alexej II says that Sergej was wrong and or uncanonically elecet, or schismatic or heretical
Show me one statement of the Synod in MP that said that MP did wrong collaborating with the regime.
Till you find such a statement, dont go to the church that collaborated with the killers of the martyrs

THey drink the blood of the martyrs, but they themeselves collaborated with their murderers. They glory in the light of the confessors, but they themselves excommunicated them and called them enemies of the regime.
