Gentlemen, I gotta tell you that you are blowing it. And blowing it big time.
The agenda of this forum for quite a while has been to "show" the absolute error of the ways of ROCOR-L. Yet with all the rhetoric and mud slinging, I gotta tell you, you are doing your "purpose" more harm than good. This article for example...... Oy!
Posted by a priest, from whom I really expected better, It does not matter that he did not write it. He posted it here to propogate its lies. His intentions by posting it I do not know, I can only judge by the results of the postings that follow.....the conscequences I do know. It has disgusted many, left a bad taste in my mouth and a few others (not sure about too many others) and certainly has not served your agendas. Those who might have been leaning in your direction I'm pretty sure you have turned away. You convince no one with such postings, least of all yourselves.
What I see is that such hatred, malice, lies and brow-beating have done nothing but invite the king of evil to settle here. Suddenly we have hinduism, spiritualism, fatimaisms and now even masonicisms showing up and poluting the Orthodox Spirit of this place. What else are we to see?
A pity, since I used to enjoy coming here for a bit of Orthodoxy. The brotherhood that used to be here is gone and all that is able to find its way here is the lies and the hatred.
None of us are true Orthodox anymore, because we have lost all that we had. Sure we have the writings of the fathers ... a lot of good it does us, since we twist it to suit our own purposes .... Sure we have the traditions ..... but we pick and choose which are the ones we want to follow. We have the "letter of the Law" but we lost the SPIRIT of the Law.
Those among us who are supposed to be our spiritual leaders ..... are not .... too busy playing politics and engaging in cultism, and quite a few breaking more rules than is proper. I understand they are human, but they are supposed to be trying harder than the rest of us. Most of the time we go around judging our hierarchies, as if we have the right! We forget that GOD will punish the sinful, on His on, in His time ... without our help .... if we only would give him half a chance that is.
I am truly saddened and I will have to really think about whether I want to continue here.
