Here is the official document from Metropolitan Valentin of ROAC regarding Fr. Elia.
Also an interesting Article on the matter by Fr. John of St. Seraphim Church in Running Springs, CA
Juvenaly
Juvenaly's Post:
Official Document from Metropolitan Valentin of ROAC regarding
Fr. Elia.
Interesting article.....
Letter to Bishop Gregory from Metropolitan Valentin:
Metropolitan Valentin wrote:
To His Grace Gregory,
Bishop of Denver and Colorado,
I most respectfully inform Your Grace of the decision of His Eminence Metropolitan Valentine, concerning the petition of Hieromonk Elias to be received into the fold of the Russian Orthodox Autonomous Church: “Hieromonk Elias cannot be received into the fold of the ROAC for reasons of violating the Hierarchical injunction forbidding clergy to engage in internet activity, excepting only the preaching of the Gospel, about which he was previously informed, and also for his disobedience to the bishop who should have been supervising him. +Metropolitan Valentine.”
I wonder what the definition is of "Preaching the Gospel"
There are clergy on this board that seemingly have exceeded this
injunction, but then again, definitions are in order.
Rd. Chrysostomos
It appears that Father Elia has removed all mention of ROAC from his site, including his so-called ROAC America Site that was claimed to be official and now claims to be a member of ROCiE yet again. Can anyone confirm that he is.

Unfortunately we do not all always live up to the expectations set before us. However, I would tend to think that the Saint Basil site is not full of polemics, but spiritually profitable articles. Some border on polemic in order to define what and why ROAC is, but the rest is not polemical by design.
