Saint Athena the Nun-Martyr

Post by 尼古拉前执事 »

My daughter, who has wanted to be a nun since she was 3 currently has hopes to take this name upon taking her monastic vows, should that day come in the future. I am glad someone asked as I was looking online for more info than the Synaxarion and our books from Holy Apostles Convent had. Thank you to all who supplied information here!

Taking Saint Athene's name

Post by 尼古拉前执事 »

Yes Romiosini, although she desires this because of a fondness for the saint that appeared somehow even before she knew anything of the saint, I have told her that whomever tonsures here, should she remain wanting to become a nun, may choose another name for her.
