Nope I had not. Thank you for clearing up that they indeed are back in the WCC.

My pleasure, but I think it's fair to point out that there is some question as to what being "in" or "involved in" the WCC (or the Ecumenical Movement in general) may or may not truly mean in any given case. That's my main point.

But I have a question as well: in one of your posts about the move of the Georgia monastery from ROCOR to the JP, you mentioned "we" once or twice in connection with the monastery. If you don't mind my asking, does this imply that you are affiliated with it in some way? If so, what is the nature of that affiliation? I wouldn't have guessed that you are a monastic, since online monks typically sign off as such. Just curious, thanks.

Nevski,

I was posting a letter, with permission, of Father Maximos, the Hieromonk of that monastery. I am sorry that I did not make it clear in that thread.

By the way, I think this is the same "Archimandrite Maximos" who was on the same side as me in a recent debate on Orthodoxy and war on the Indiana List. I believe he may have also sent me a personal e-mail expressing his encouragement. If it is, please pass along my warm regards to Fr. Maximos the next time you see him.
