I had no idea what that movie "sleepless in Seattle" was about ! It concerned the stupid, overdone "OJ" trial ??
Really, the films are geared to a completely infantile intelligence, aren't they ? Isn't there something better to make a film about ? I tuned out of that entire media blitz. I never even knew WHO "OJ" was ! Let alone what he was on trial for.
I could care less.

Sears sold their tower ; I remember that. I didn't know who purchased it. What a TERRIBLE zip code to have had all these decades ! Most of the administrative offices are in a place called Hoffman Estates. I think it has a more normal zip code.

Recently someone badgered me about my failed car battery, insisting that DieHard is a good quality battery, better than Interstate [ known to the best in the industry ]. I hated the name Sears chose, so I never even looked at purchasing one of their brand.
Why name a battery something so negative ? Why not "LiveLong" ; "LotsofEnergy" ; "VitalityEndurance" ?!

I see NOW that some dark energy swirled around that company, even before Eddie Lampert went on his sociopathic destruction spree.

Right on the money so to speak is this synopsis by 'realmoney' regarding Sears and Notorious Eddie's sinister goals.
The description is perfect :

"News that embattled Sears Holding (SHLD) will be closing more Kmart and Sears stores by the spring is hardly a surprise, but is a major concern. In typical Sears fashion, faceless execs downplayed the store closings as some sort of righteous bid to save itself from online foes, such as Amazon (AMZN), and competitors with clean, well-lit physical stores (just about all of retail). That would be okay, if the store closures done in recent years helped to boost profits or shift sales to the stores that are left open. But that has not happened.

"Reiterating a long-held view, I believe the company is being slowly liquidated by hedge fund giant and CEO of Sears since 2013, Eddie Lampert, for reasons only he knows."
