I wonder how the Apostles asked for God's Grace when mixing the Holy Chrism without the EP or any "Autoincephalitus" (bless you) churches around? :)

If the EP so much as sent me a box of chocolates I would throw them into the fireplace with my barbeque tongs. :D

Seriously though, I see this as being just more of the neo-papal mentality sweeping the new-calendar churches, no offense Mor, its just plain true. There is no "head" of an independent Church, but there are gatherings of bishops who call on their Head, Christ. I know that may sound to simplistic, but then the Church is quite simple.

They probably didn't use the Byzantine rite, that's for sure.

Fine. Then before the new-calendar became an issue in the Orthodox world, who consecrated Chrism?

the holy and Blessed Apostles used teh Tridentine Rite. If Latin was good enough for Jesus, its good enough for me.

PS. calm down folks this is just a spoof of some of the more ignorant in the RC traditionalist world. Or more precisely of the liberal RC's views of us TradLats.

LoL. Of course, the Syrian rite, being the rite of Jerusalem, has probably the best claim on being the rite the Apostles used. We still speak His language. :)

Et cum spiritu tuo.

By the way, shouldn't your signature read "et in saecula saeculorum"? :P
