There is one Church that is Holy Catholic (Universal) and Apostolic Church.

When people dear to me stay in an E.C. with an openly homosexual "priest" with GBLT meetings published in the Church bulletin - what are they joined to? For me to call it Sodom is not a stretch.

Are all Anglicans in the same situation - of course not.

However, such egregious sins being openly tolerated, are the Anglicans who do not partake of such truly loving their neighbors by not separating themselves from them? It is a worthy question and we have different responses. Lot was saved from Sodom, Abraham never went in.

As to the difference between "I" and "Our", our Lord and Savior uses plurals and singulars at times to convey very powerful messages as to the corporate nature of salvation and Grace. The Orthodox (there are western rite Orthodox, whether you choose to believe so or not) follow the fullness of truth. So when the right eye offends thee, they pluck it out and so on....

"My" personal opinions are irrelevant to reality. The rules of the Universe function whether I choose faithfulness or not. Homosexuality is Belial - it is against the rule of God. By joining myself to Holy Orthodoxy, I found the true corporate faith - leaving behind a shadow. That is reality, whether you choose to believe it or not.

I've seen Western Rite Orthodox. It's not a matter of my 'belive it or not",they exist. (what does the passage about the right eye offending have to do with anything?)

You tar all of the Anglicans with the deeds of a few. Would that be fair for someone to do to EO? No. How have you left the Anglican Church behind you, if you keep thinking of it and desparaging it?

If I believed that the RC or the EO were the only Church, I would be a member of that body.

Let's leave it at that, if possible.

Dear Ebor,

I do not mean this sarcastically in any way, you have helped me greatly.

As an engineer, I observe the SS Titanic heading out to sea:

She has an undersized rudder (She does not follow the Canons).
She is single hulled in an era of double hulled ships - to crowd more in She is overly inclusive for the love of money.
Her hull plating is brittle and her rivits are suspect (Henry VIII onward)
She lacks proper water-tight containment owing to the vanity of grand staircases in her design and the inability to place suitable bulkheads.
She is speeding toward an icefield (her love of God has grown cold).
The telegraph operator on the California is sleeping (the world does not care).
