Kollyvas, please post articles that do not have to do directly with geronda Ephraem in a new thread titled with an appropriate subject to the topic of those articles. Thank you.
Please forgive me for my confusion, but I thought that there was an issue about using up too much space...concerning new posts. I even posted a comment to the fact that it would be good to post under one thread. I thought it would save the space.
What would be the best conduct, in these circumstances? Is it better to post under one thread or is it more effecient to create new posts for every article? Which is more economical?

+Bishop Tikhon(OCA) Comments On poem

"An 'NBC' investigative report?" Why only on one station?
Is it not *possible that the tendentious POEM announcement is
trying to magnify getting a few minutes on some local station which is
affiliated with NBC, but which is NOT presenting a report on Elder
Ephraim composed by anyone but local kooks of the POEM sort? Did POEM
buy the time, I wonder?
Our LA CBS affiliate is KNX. It has its own news department, and after
or during their program, we hear, "Now we switch you to CBS news."
They would not mislead the public by labelling a KNX report as a CBS
report unless the report was actually approved by CBS AND distributed to
ALL their affiliates for use on time specifically labelled as "CBS."
Commending all to Christ's love,

Orthodox Church in America
PS: How did the early Church ever survive without ecclesiastical police
agencies, militias, minutemen, etc. such as POEM, OCA.NEWS, POKROV?
Where is the publication of egregious conduct blessed EVER in the
Gospel, Canons or elsewhere in the Holy Tradition? These people their
various drives, however egregious (and the Lord, far from blessing such
conduct, even counselled, or rather commanded, that we hide our GOOD
deeds), displayed, for the titillation and encouragement of all
like-minded citizens on their monitors?
When P.O.E.M describes itself as a "support network" and then describes
itself as a "safe place" for this and that and, ESPECIALLY "a safe place
to be real with your feelings and thoughts", does it not call to mind a
description of some awful site for those who are addicted to porno
and/or child-abuse? "Here it's safe to show your REAL self/"
Talk about pathology! "A safe place to be real!" I consider that to be
real is not so fragile a characteristic as to have to be sought on the
Internet! What an idea!
More Indiana Spillover
(This ROCOR "indiana list" is a shameless hub for sectarianism and baiting of Orthodox Traditionalists. It's definitely an ugly face of the new ROCOR. Moreover, I must hasten to add that the puhalo reformation is due for some real scrutiny.--R)

Greetings to all,
Here is a link to where P.O.E.M. joyfully shared this information
initially! They have been promising for a while now that the “big stuff”
was to happen in February. To quote them exactly:
“On a scale and level not seen before”
And while they (P.O.E.M) have been confronted with proof that they
have championed a liar and furthermore slandered Elder Ephraim (which to
them is no sin). P.O.E.M still will not put the truth on their website.
Also:
“POEM reports that both Father
Ephraim and Metropolitan
Gerasimos declined to be interviewed on camera.”
You could also “report” that Elder Ephraim sent a priest to talk to the
reporter and also to be interviewed as a spokesman for St. Anthony’s
Monastery. At the reporters request Elder Ephraim gave a blessing for her
and a camera crew to come and shoot film of the Monastery and be given a
tour. And that the reporter has yet to interview a parent of a monastic
not affiliated with P.O.E.M. ie. hundreds of content parents. (NOT ONE
interviewed)
You could! But that’s not quite your style is it?
Sincerely,
Elijah
Initials...
I would venture that the initials A-H-E-P-A & G-O-A-L & P-O-E-M have alot in common...

The question was asked why there is no support group for Father Ephraim. The answer is that there is one. It is called the Church, the Faithful and those that do not disparage the concept of Monasticism. The reason that groups such as POEM exist is because the West is ignorant of the concept of Monasticism. Those who do not understand will try and kill the only bastion the Church has had against heresies and schisms and the human element of the Church. Those who would devote their lives ot prayer are the real warriors, for they are the ones who in essence will send forth the mercy of God upon this undeserving world.
The reason that Father Ephraim and those like him do not "comment" or "make public statements"and do not need a support group is because God supports them. Athos, Valaam, Sarov, and all of the great treasures of Orthodox spirituality do not need protectors because the Lord and the Theotokos protect them much much better than we sinners could ever do. The best support we can show them is to go see them and visit them and ask their counsel and pray for them and support them in any way that we can. In this we show the Light of Christ and the truth and blessedness of monasticism to a world that would rather extinguish that light from the face of the earth.
May God bless Elder Ephraim and those who nourish the Holy Church by their lives their prayers and their example. I know that they have been a light for me in the decisions of my life.
