If this is the case: In the face of obvious violation of Church rule, their legitimacy, if this is the case, will become as suspect as the petitioner....

I've heard he tried to petition Kallinikos several times over the past couple of years.... so this is not the first time.

This is a major challenge in our day - obedience. I sincerely hope
that Archbishop Gregory is not accepted by any other jurisdiction,
and is thus, essentially forced, to deal with the issue of obedience.
How can any Archbishop, Bishop, etc., discuss the importance of
obedience, when they have the challenge themselves. I must
be wrong in assuming that this is just an "American" issue, but
must be either an "American" influence that has infected Orthodoxy,
or it is just a sign of the times and the result of sin. Regardless,
I am really saddened to hear of this, sadden to see the discord,
and the many lives being affected by all this.

Lord have Mercy,

I deleted my post since despite my personal feelings, it is really none of my business. May the lords will be done.
