A hypothesis is that God is trying to FORCE Americans to leave foreign places where they are offensive and oppressive and serving NO good by allowing such repeated disasters as the oil spill to focus attention closer to North America.

I'm pretty sure the exact opposite is the case, some reports have the oil and gas deposits as being so massive that they very well could have made such an isolationist policy possible. If anything, the Gulf underwater oil volcano could ensure that the Antichrist, as leader of whatever remains of an apostate West, must come to blows with the pagan/atheist "kings of the east" (China) in the Middle east. Amazing firepower versus endless manpower (cannon fodder) like the Korean war (USA versus China in N. Korean uniforms) which lead to a stalemate.

Revelation 9:14-16:

Saying to the sixth angel which had the trumpet, Loose the four angels which are bound in the great river Euphrates. 15 And the four angels were loosed, which were prepared for an hour, and a day, and a month, and a year, for to slay the third part of men. 16 And the number of the army of the horsemen were two hundred thousand thousand: and I heard the number of them.

The shrinking of the Euphrates, a river so crucial to the birth of civilization that the Book of Revelation prophesied its drying up as a sign of the end times, has decimated farms along its banks, has left fishermen impoverished and has depleted riverside towns as farmers flee to the cities looking for work.

Interesting to look at what was going on with Obama around that time.

Icelandic President Ólafur Grímsson has warned governments around Europe that a significant eruption at the volcano is close. "We [Iceland] have prepared ... it is high time for European governments and airline authorities all over Europe and the world to start planning for the eventual Katla eruption," he said.

New, giant sea oil plume seen in Gulf:

http://www.miamiherald.com/2010/05/27/v ... z0pB4DOaWj

May. 27, 2010

Marine scientists have discovered a massive new plume of what they believe to be oil deep beneath the Gulf of Mexico, stretching 22 miles (35 kilometers) from the leaking wellhead northeast toward Mobile Bay, Alabama.

The discovery by researchers on the University of South Florida College of Marine Science's Weatherbird II vessel is the second significant undersea plume recorded since the Deepwater Horizon exploded on April 20.

The thick plume was detected just beneath the surface down to about 3,300 feet (1,000 meters), and is more than 6 miles (9.6 kilometers) wide, said David Hollander, associate professor of chemical oceanography at the school.

La. scientist locates another vast oil plume in the gulf:
http://www.washingtonpost.com/wp-dyn/co ... 46_pf.html

May 28, 2010

A day after scientists reported finding a huge "plume" of oil extending miles east of the leaking BP well, on Friday a Louisiana scientist said his crew had located another vast plume of oily globs, miles in the opposite direction.

James H. Cowan Jr., a professor at Louisiana State University, said his crew on Wednesday found a plume of oil in a section of the gulf 75 miles northwest of the source of the leak.

Cowan said that his crew sent a remotely controlled submarine into the water, and found it full of oily globules, from the size of a thumbnail to the size of a golf ball. Unlike the plume found east of the leak -- in which the oil was so dissolved that contaminated water appeared clear -- Cowan said the oil at this site was so thick that it covered the lights on the submarine.

"It almost looks like big wet snowflakes, but they're brown and black and oily," Cowan said. The submarine returned to the surface entirely black, he said.

Cowan said that the submarine traveled about 400 feet down, close to the sea floor, and found oil all the way down. Trying to find the edges of the plume, he said the submarine traveled miles from side to side.

"We really never found either end of it," he said. He said he did not know how wide the plume actually was, or how far it stretched away to the west. He said the plume was found in an area that had already been closed to fishing by the federal government.

[...]

It would also be a problem for hidden ecosystems deep under the gulf. There, scientists say, the oil could be absorbed by tiny animals and enter a food chain that builds to large, beloved sport-fish like red snapper. It might also glom on to deep-water coral formations, and cover the small animals that make up each piece of coral.

"You're almost like a deer in the headlights when you're watching this. You don't know what to say," Cowan said. He said the oil's threat to undersea ecosystems "is really starting to scare us."

Matthew 16:2-3:

When evening comes, you say, "It will be fair weather, for the sky is red," and in the morning, "Today it will be stormy, for the sky is red and overcast." You know how to interpret the appearance of the sky, but you cannot interpret the signs of the times.

Sydney - Dust in the Wind

Giant Red Dust Storm engulfs the East Coast of Australia - 2009:

On the 23rd of September, 2009 a massive dust storm carried by severe winds from the North West engulfed most of the East Coast of Australia, limiting visibility, diverting all flights and causing a thick reddish haze. This Footage was filmed just after 6AM on the morning of 23/09/2009 in Sydney, the comparative shots were taken later that day when the storm had travelled North and left a thin layer of red dust in the streets and on cars. It had a faint chalky smell and caused slight irritation to the eyes and lungs, it was proceeded by a windy night with brilliantly clear skies.

Sydney hit by "Apocalyptic" duststorm / sandstorm:

The dust was still flying further north, however, and the sky over the Queensland state capital of Brisbane was clogged with dust into the early evening.

Such thick dust is rare over Sydney, and came along with other uncommon weather conditions across the country in recent days. Hailstorms have pummeled parts of the country this week, while other parts have been hit with an early spring mini-heatwave, and wildfires.

"It did feel like Armageddon because when I was in the kitchen looking out the skylight, there was this red glow coming through," Sydney resident Karen told Australian Broadcasting Corp. radio.

Sydney turns red: dust storm blankets city:
http://www.smh.com.au/environment/sydne ... -g0so.html

Sydneysiders have woken to a red haze unlike anything seen before by residents or weather experts, as the sun struggles to pierce a thick blanket of dust cloaking the city this morning.

Callers flooded talkback radio, others hit social networking sites and scores of emails were received from smh.com.au readers as Sydney residents expressed their amazement at this morning's conditions.

"It's just red, red, red as far as you can see," one caller at the Anzac Bridge told 2GB.

[...]

Last night, large hailstones fell in parts of Goulburn and Wagga, while wind gusts exceeded 90km/h, the Bureau said. A 109km/h gust was reported at Moss Vale, it said.

Dust Storm in Sydney, September 23, 2009:

This morning sydneysiders woke to a red haze after strong winds brought large amounts of dust from inland NSW and South Australia, and dumped it on the whole of the city. The ruddy haze is caused by sunlight refracting through iron-rich dust.

Later in the morning the sun appeared at moments and it seemed bluish in colour.

Residents stunned as hundreds of fish fall out of the sky over remote Australian desert town:
http://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/worldne ... gPage=true

2nd March 2010

'The fish were all alive when they hit the ground so they would have been alive when they were up there flying around the sky.

'When I told my family, who live in another part of Australia, about the fish falling from the sky, they thought I'd lost the plot.

'But no, I haven't lost my marbles. All I can say is that I'm thankful that it didn't rain crocodiles!'

Meterologists say the incident was probably caused by a tornado. It is common for tornados to suck up water and fish from rivers and drop them hundreds of miles away.

Huge hail storm hits Perth, Australia with flooding and mudslides:
http://www.examiner.com/x-5821-Internat ... avel-video

March 23, 2010

A hail storm struck Perth, Australia, the largest city on the southwestern corner of Australia, Tuesday causing massive power outages, flooding, and mudslides. Some locals are saying it's the worst storm to hit the region since 1994. The roof collapsed in one hospitals ER causing 20 patients to be moved. This has been the driest southern hemisphere summer on record in the Perth area and forecasters are predicting more rain in the coming days. The rain will do little to ease the drought conditions, but with winter approaching in 'the land down under,' locals are hoping for a wet winter. AP reports wind gusts of 75 mph and commuter and airport traffic being at a near stand still.

Australia: Plague of Locusts The Size of Spain:
http://www.timesonline.co.uk/tol/news/w ... 098057.ece

April 15, 2010

Farmers across the Australian Outback have been warned of a potential explosion of locusts in the coming months, after a plague of millions of the grasshopper-like insects swept across four states earlier this month.
Millions of the quick-breeding and fast-moving insects have damaged crops and caused havoc in country towns by infesting parts of Queensland, New South Wales, Victoria and South Australia – covering an area of approximately 500,000 square kilometres (190,000 square miles), roughly the size of Spain.

[...]

There appears to be no respite in store.

The biggest threat is yet to come according to authorities who have warned rural areas to brace for a further breakout as eggs laid by the current plague hatch in the Australian spring.

Come the middle of September through to October across that entire inland area... we expect there to be some very large infestations again,” Mr Adriaansen said.

Oilpocalypse (Revelation 8:8-9?)

Oil spill creates huge undersea 'dead zones': Clouds of crude and chemical dispersants have formed in the Gulf of Mexico and oceanologists fear these could have devastating effects on the food chain:
http://www.independent.co.uk/news/world ... 87039.html

May 30, 2010

The world's most damaging oil spill – now in its 41st continuously gushing day – is creating huge unseen "dead zones" in the Gulf of Mexico, according to oceanologists and toxicologists. They say that if their fears are correct, then the sea's entire food chain could suffer years of devastation, with almost no marine life in the region escaping its effects.

While the sight of tar balls and oil-covered birds on Louisiana's shoreline has been the most visible sign of the spill's environmental destruction, many scientists now believe it is underwater contamination that will have the deadliest impact.

At least two submerged clouds of noxious oil and chemical dispersants have been confirmed by research vessels, and scientists are seeing initial signs of several more. The largest is some 22 miles long, six miles wide and 3,300 feet deep – a volume that would take up half of Lake Erie. Another spans an area of 20 square miles.

[...]

The chemicals helped to keep the oil submerged and are toxic to marine life, resulting in unprecedented underwater damage to organisms in the Gulf.

Once these harmful substances enter the food chain, almost nothing will escape their effects. Forests of coral, sharks, dolphins, sea turtles, game fish and thousands of shellfish could all face destruction. What happens next to these underwater clouds – or plumes – depends largely on the currents. If they do eventually rise to the surface, they may end up on the shoreline months or years from now, causing a second wave of destruction.

The leak itself is far from over.

[...]

Marine biologists say the timing of this underwater contamination could not be more catastrophic. "This is when all the animals are reproducing and hatching, so the damage at this depth will be much worse," said Dr Larry McKinney, director of the Harte Research Institute for Gulf of Mexico Studies in Texas. "We're not talking about adults on the surface; it will impact on the young – and potentially a generational life cycle."

After Fix Fail, a Dispiriting Summer of Oil, Anger:
http://abcnews.go.com/Business/wireStory?id=10781709

May 30, 2010

There is still a hole in the Earth, crude oil is still spewing from it and there is still, excruciatingly, no end in sight. After trying and trying again, one of the world's largest corporations, backed and pushed by the world's most powerful government, can't stop the runaway gusher.

As desperation grows and ecological misery spreads, the operative word on the ground now is, incredibly, August — the earliest moment that a real resolution could be at hand. And even then, there's no guarantee of success. For the United States and the people of its beleaguered Gulf Coast, a dispiriting summer of oil and anger lies dead ahead.

Oh ... and the Atlantic hurricane season begins Tuesday.

[...]

Perhaps most alarming of all, 40 days after the Deepwater Horizon blew up and began the underwater deluge, hurricane season is at hand. It brings the horrifying possibility of wind-whipped, oil-soaked waves and water spinning ashore and coating areas much farther inland. Imagine Katrina plus oil spill.

The flotilla, which includes three cargo ships and three passenger ships, is trying to draw attention to Israel's three-year blockade of the Gaza Strip. The boats are carrying items that Israel bars from reaching Gaza, like cement and other building materials.

The activists said they also were carrying hundreds of electric-powered wheelchairs, prefabricated homes and water purifiers.

Israeli Foreign Ministry spokesman Yigal Palmor said that after a security check, permitted humanitarian aid confiscated from the boats will be transferred to Gaza through authorized channels. However, Israel would not transfer items it has banned from Gaza under its blockade rules. Palmor said that for example, cement would be allowed only if it is tied to a specific project.
