OK< eish, i have got you cornered
YOU MUST EXPLAIN what 'cosplay' MEANS !

I have been planning to ask for ages but didn't want to bring it up.
It drives me crazy seeing these WEIRD expressions tossed around on social media. How is an out-of-it person like me supposed to understand the meaning at ALL when they use these bizarre sounding words that I guess everyone else knows the meaning of by osmosis ?
The whole post breaks down when I see a term like that.

Playing dress-up. It really couldn't be simpler, and you could have googled it easily.

Fiction-brained children (and manchildren) go to this thing called “conventions” dressed up as characters from their favourite cartoons and stuff. For some reason they made up as special “cosplay” word for themselves rather than just calling it playing dress-up. Okay, I'll tell the reason: It's 'cause calling it what it is would mean admitting how effeminate it looks to everyone else.

There are also professional women at these conventions. Companies pay attractive models to play dress-up as well, in professionally-made but scanty outfits from the fictions, hanging out at convention booths so thirsty manchildren who dream about attractive women who share their “hobbies” will spend more money.

Now, don't ask me details about “conventions,” unless you're talking about trade conventions which are real work. As a young lad I was at a local event once but I didn't walk through. Africa is blessed to have less of this garbage and I could buy a house with the money American manchildren spend on their immature hobbies. Look it up on YT or wiki or something if you're curious. Or don't.

Yes, I'm being harsh. To anyone reading this who's personally offended, you need to be smacked on the head. Stop it. Spend the time on your salvation. Give that money to the poor. Or your priest. Or your poor priest.

Ohhhh. I never expected it to mean anything like that. i did "cosider" once to look it up online but i was worried that it meant something even STILL more negative than it already is !
I would have felt embarrassed, so i refrained.

I thought i would ask you when the time was ripe.
Thank you !

See, you have given a lot of insight into American life.

I completely agree about the immature American men's "hobbies".
Of what are you thinking in particular ?
I think of - besides spectator sports [bac to the gladiators !] - race cars, extra-luxury cars in general [Lamborghinis, McLarens], designer watches [Maybe ONE special model might be OK only]

In England, hunting birds with trained dogs [there's a name for it - the Queen used to have this sort of dog] This is NOT the same as fox hunting on horsebac.

Yes the amount of money WASTED on such useless pursuits in many Western countries is astronomical.

Great idea to give to the hard-working Priest who can barely handle having a regular job plus running the parish as well !
I hope everyone reads your post.

So it's good I asked, after all. Though I still don't understand about the conventions. I'll ask about that later. You are hinting at some kind of BAD conventions, it sounds like ?

PS How about explaining "rage bait". That's another term that makes me shake my head. Some day, I'll be equipped to understand a fair number of social media postings...

Comic books/comic book movies
Dungeons & Dragons
Anime
Warhammer 40k
Certain popular video games
Star Trek
etc.

Nah, “hobby” conventions are all bad. If “hobby” meant crochet or blacksmithing I wouldn't have cared. Instead it means slutty Wonder Woman outfits and plastic children's toys for forty year olds at thousands of dollars.

PS How about explaining "rage bait".

Provocation. Posting what you know will anger certain thin-skinned people for the purpose of offending them. AKA trolling. Real trolling, not the thing lefties where any statement they don't like is “trolling.”

And just because I'm trolling doesn't mean I don't mean it--I do.

P.S. I'm not talking about perverts having perverse parties and calling them “conventions.” Maybe that's what you meant. Furfags don't even qualify in the same category as manchildren. They should get punished the same as regular fags.

And remember, there's a strong correlation between all types of perversion and crimes against women & children.
