Sorry, I was not disputing that true grace in some measure was drawing you others towards Orthodoxy while yet in a heretical group. I think that it is entirely possible, and while I would not speak dogmatically but only by way of personal opinion based on my own observations, it seems to me very possible even demonstrable that Grace exists in the heretical groups working towards their conversion and salvation in Orthodoxy.

I am of course always in need of correction and learning more of the even the basics. :)

I too would like more information, perhaps a theological book that would shed more light.

From our prayers, we learn that God is everywhere present.

And in His loving mercy, He showers His grace upon us, but there comes a time when He allows us to flounder, especially if lacking any repentance, we harden our hearts.

If today you hear the voice of the Lord, harden not your hearts.

Lord Jesus Christ, have mercy on me a sinner.

Amen, God keep our hearts humble that He might hear our prayers.

This video is a fake.
Can't you guys see that?
It's poorly managed propaganda, using an actor.
I caught that right away.
This is the problem with technology and the internet. So much
is right-out faked.
It's easy to fool the viewers these days.

I did not bother to watch the whole piece as it got
so ridiculous. But I don't believe that
the man's business was ever named.
Surely that is a big warning RIGHT THERE that it
was set up in a studio with ludicrous "shingles" pasted on his face...

The programmer wasn't even ashamed of the obvious FRAUD he was perpetrating.

I don't think it's worthwhile to watch ANYTHING at all anymore as most
is simply staged. Even major "news" "Events" are completely
phony. So why get involved with worrying about things that
never did occur?

TV and internet video watching are dangerous worlds today.
To gain a grain of truth, one has to endure much bombardment by
sinister forces who want to program the people in a certain direction.
I don't think it is worth it to waste one's time thus.

Better to study old Church histories, etc to learn something valuable
Life is short - better to spend it finding real truth.
Not this "quick-consumption mass media garbage" like this type of video.

Dear Barbara,

Welcome to E Cafe.

I did not watch the video as I could not download it for some reason. I think my computer is getting old and it is just about time to get a new one.

Anyway, thanks for your observations.

Yes, one must be very careful with Internet presentations, telephone calls, TV dramas, and movies. All these can have evil influences on our lives.

In Christ,
Maria

Lord Jesus Christ, have mercy on me a sinner.

Dear Barbara,

Welcome to our little community here at Euphrosynos Cafe.

Like Maria, I have not seen the video either. I made only general comments. I tend to avoid such things much less take them seriously. On the other hand, I am open to genuine miracles of God inasmuch as I believe in the ones verified by the Orthodox Church down through history. I do not need such things to prove anything to me. In any case, your point is well taken and quite valid.

God be with you,
Symeon

Maria and Icxypion [what a name !]

Thank you so much for your warm welcome.
I felt a little tentative posting here, though I have been reading the site off and on for a few months.
Your nice wishes make me feel more confident to actually participate.
I am very relieved that you didn't watch the almost-poisonous video, because
I skimmed through it and felt kind of sick for awhile after.
I kept seeing those dreadful paste-on blisters for days.
That means that it really wasn't good to have watched.

Maria, what kind of computer are you looking at, I am just curious
in case i also need a new one.

Icxypion, YES, now I see that your comments
were generalized.
Of course, there are so many genuine Miracles that
cheap propaganda like this looks all the more of a mockery of
the REAL Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ.

These Protestants are promoting some straw figure instead.

Maybe at some point, we could talk a little about some of the dangers
of watching - inadvertently - bad material through various media.
I think it causes some damage, though I haven't figured out exactly the nature of it.
I just know that more strict ascetic practices are needed and prayer
to wipe away the bad residue from such !
I am trying to be very careful about what site i go to, etc,
even if it SOUNDS good, maybe it isn't.
