This thread started by a lady posting on a woman Orthodox visiting a seminary even though she is very outspoken of women in the Priesthood, now i think this was a good visit for the seminarians if they are under good spiritual direction, for this is where those going into the Holy Priesthood should be confronted by such scandals, i assure you they were questioned thoroughly about there feelings of this talk about women in the Priesthood... The roman church has always confronted there seminarians with sometimes outlandish, but attendance a must in various WORLDLY assemblys..and then they are attacked by there spiritual guides and mentors and laid the law if any doubt is noticed or seen...unfortunately not enough of the sex issue was given to them, as it is being pushed in there faces now,THANK GOD...temptation should be pushed at the seminary to make a strong Priest when he is confronted all alone is his mission/church...and not the type the Abbott/Father Panteleimon was accused of @ the monastery that shook Orthodox america(having women dance naked in ft of the monks, and then questioning there feelings afterwards)...I think the role of these women is definetly in Convents, as Matushka`s,and abbesses and Spiritual teachers, a Great example is our Schema-Abbess Ariadna of Blessed Memory who had many well rooted, strong and up front sermons for both men and women and didnt have to be a woman Priest to do this She led many people to a true Spirit in Orthodox, in fact she had the right spirit to twist and turn the hardend heart and mind ,of Heiro-monk Seraphim Rose of blessed memory and make it into Russian orthodox mush and cause him to pick up his Cross and die to the world, for good...
