Americans, who will you be voting for as President in 2004?

The resting place of threads that were very valid in 2004, but not so much in 2024. Basically this is a giant historical archive.

My survey result

Post by Chrysostomos »

Here's my results:

Left/Right +2.52223 (+0.1518)
Pragmatism +0.2773 (+0.0107)

I guess that means I am a right-wing barely pragmatist,
almost idealist! :D

I was just reading the latest post and decided to count......

So far we have 7 right-wing idealists, one left winger and Joe Zollars who didn't really indicate right or left......hmmmmm.....do we need to be concerned??? :D 8)

The comparisons to Stalin are the most concerning   seems like a silly quiz to me....

I'm a right winger too, can't remember if I was Idealist or Pragmatist--but I was aas far over to the right of the spectrum as you could get.

I agree with Natasha about the quiz. Joseph Stalin technically represents the Far Left of hte spectrum, not the far right.

A lot closer to center than I thought I'd be, given my tendency to answer "strongly" to every question :)

1 left/right -1.5062 (-0.0907)
2 pragmatism -4.2068 (-0.2532)

PS Mary: Tony Blair is Prime Minister of the United Kingdom, who together with John Howard of Australia and George Bush formed a tiny coterie of international leaders supporting the invasion of Iraq. Since then he's distanced himself from Bush... sorry, political science student getting carried away over here :)

As a confirmed centrist (according to this quiz at least!) I posit that there's not much difference between the far left and the far right... of course, this sort of quiz doesn't even come close to adequately describing the extreme political views of either end of the "spectrum" - I didn't notice any questions about concentration camps or gulags, did you?
