Δημητριε,

Χριστός Ανέστη!

What do you mean by Metr. Philip will finally break? Break off from AP? Or some other usage of the word break entirely.

Yeah I think maybe a deaconness which wouldnt be a problem.

Well the nothing is going to happen with the GOA Female "reader".
Unless people send letters of protest. What do you guys say about this?
What can be done? Antiochian bishops cant do any thing my priest already talked to the bishop about it.

Why is a deaconess not a problem, but a reader is?

Met. Phillip has already stated when discussing American unity that if the EP were to move to the US, he would join his church. I imagine Antioch gets somewhat distressed when they read things like that and are possibly withholding 'full' (whatever that means) autonomy in reaction. Speculation, of course.

Because the office of deaconness is for a female and the office of reader isnt, because its the first rank of the clergy. Thats why.

I doubt if the EP would move here, that Metropolitan Philip would do that, I would leave the Antiochians if that ever happend.

So, does any know what role deaconess's actually played? Did they serve in the alter, and take communion there? Or, maybe just took communion to, like, cloistered widows and such?

This implies that you know for a fact that the office of deaconess was not a clerical rank. I am honestly not sure either way. Was it or was it not a clerical rank?
