St. Seraphim Rose actually sinned in this way before he repented. Actually, I am glad that God had allowed him to indulge in homosexual fornication, because he thus became a living proof that all passions can be overcome in Christ withing the Holy Church! With his example, St. Seraphim refuted all men who say that "I am a homosexual. That is who I am and I cannot change"!
The Church is the hospital for our souls. Its purpose is to cure our passions, so that we can receive the Holy Spirit. All passions are diseases that can be overcome! Homosexuality is no exception. I don't understand why people, both Christians and Perverts, make such a fuss about it. It isn't much different than fornication, prostitution, transexualism, transvestitism, masturbation, adultery, nocturnal emission etc. All these are clearly condemned. All those that suffer from these passions are victims, not criminals!
Holy Seraphim, pray to God for us, that me may exterminate our passions in Christ!

I don't think nocturnal emissions are condemned.
As far as I understand it, such a thing is a "blameless passion," such as hunger, sleep, or menstruation. There is no guilt associated with the involuntary movements of the body or the mind (as in dreaming). While one may want to refrain from taking communion after bleeding or a nocturnal emission, it is a matter of following Judaic traditions of cleanliness, and is not Christian sin.
Fr. Seraphim was a great teacher of Orthodoxy in our time. He gave a great example of how to venerate, love, and pray to saints through his devotion to St. John.

Actually it is confessed as the Church Fathers say it can often come from overindulging in the passions during the day from over-eating to indulging in lust or such. Through confession one may learn the cause of this and so it should be mentioned. In fact a priest who would have one cannot serve until it is confessed according to the Russian clergy handbook.
Also I know in The Book of Needs there is a cleansing prayer that a priest must read if this happens.

Well all I can say is I have an Icon of Blessed Heiromonk Seraphim Rose,and can honestly say that thru the intercessions of the Theotokos to OUR GOD he guided me to the holy Orthodox church....what happened with Platina? why did it go with the Serbian Bishops?????????
