Sadly, some people in Traditionalists/Old Calendar Jurisdictions (even regular posters in this site) rejoice at the “fall” of the “competition” or groups that do not share 100 % their ecclesiology or way of thinking.

It's shocking! You both are right.
It's a sure sign when people are cackling in ill-concealed glee over the a rival's being ground down under the state security services' boots - in fact a group rather stronger than they when speaking of numbers and parishes in Russia proper, though fewer in the Western Hemisphere - to stay away from that type of people. They are a poor advertisement for their jurisdictions!
So their lofty "They were uncanonical so God is punishing them" attitude boomerangs back to their own group!

For, observers who have objectivity and sensitivity will immediately muse to themselves:"Now if this is how that jurisdiction propagandizes against fellow True Orthodox groups, I cannot ever feel comfortable with parishioners of that group. Neither can I trust them for their hearts are restricted, uncaring and unmerciful toward others. Besides being unpleasant to be around, worse: that condition always invites bad spirits rather than Angels into their lives. Bad spirits if not banished through being extra kind to others to make up for mean-spirited attacks on suffering True Orthodox, will proliferate into bad demons, and I must keep a distance. Because demons try to jump from those people into my own life to stir up serious trouble. That's how demons work, after all, they try to take over everything in sight before anyone catches them.
Same way on the larger scale, that the MP operates vis a vis the former free ROCOR, now ROAC, next RTOC etc.
It seems the same band of MP strongmen pulled a fast one on the Agafangel Church in Argentina, and the MP-ROCOR is so proud to have this trophy to show to their masters. Every Russian True Orthodox group is suffering; no one is exempt.
But it's better to be at the receiving end of persecution than to be the one who is pointing a finger at others."

I think the battle goes a lot deeper. We are drawn to focus on the jurisdictional differences and scandals...we discuss all these issues, but what is the ultimate goal of these demons...to gain our souls. So, we should all try to fight against the easy reaction of pointing fingers and assess what it is doing to our hearts. We should remeber what Jesus Christ taught..pray, even for your enemies (my paraphrase). Allowing ourselves to get too caught up in all of this takes our attention away from our goal...repentence. Our full focus should be on repentence. We have more to lose than property (which is temporary).

Create in me a clean heart, O God, and renew a right spirit within me. (Ps. 50)
