Have you ever read through any of the WCC's Constitution or it's Rules?

Or the NCC's Statement of Faith:

"The National Council of Churches is a community of Christian communions, which, in response to the gospel as revealed in the Scriptures, confess Jesus Christ, the incarnate Word of God, as Savior and Lord. These communions covenant with one another to manifest ever more fully the unity of the Church. Relying upon the transforming power of the Holy Spirit, the communions come together as the Council in common mission, serving in all creation to the glory of God." --from the Preamble to the NCC Constitution.

I'll be the first to admit, as will a great many priests and lay people in "world orthodoxy" - it's garbage.

Regarding the last few posts, I'd just insert a reminder... it was not only being an ecumenist (e.g., affirming the branch theory) that was anathematized... but even defending ecumenists. Saying "oh, well we don't believe that stuff, we're just witnessing to the lost souls" doesn't mean you necessarily side-step the anathema. Things are much more complex.

As far as saying more about the stuff we were discussing last week... well... here's the post I wrote over the weekend, so I'll just post that:

After having thought about it (and having attempted to write a post not a few times), I've come to the conclusion that it'd be best if I just kept my mouth shut. All the documents, new stories, quotes, articles, etc. are out there. So is the Holy Spirit. If I'm wrong, I had better shut up so that He can tell me so. If someone else is wrong, I'd better shut up so that He can tell them so.
