Dear Brother Exapsalms,
Have you read my letter?
I do not speak only of skin colours ( all the skin colours also), I speak of cultures. AND THE CULTURES ARE A SPIRITUAL PHENOMENON.
The God’s Grace is asumed AND ACCEPTED in the human volition FREELY, and do not is a weapon for destroy the singularity of the human person, family, nation or race, nor in this mundane life or in the other, the everlasting life.
Do you pray to the Saints, or to the Holy Guardian Angel? The Saints are individuals and the Guardian Angels are for individuals. AND WE ALL ARE DIFFERENT, IN TALENTS, WORKS, IN SOULS AND BODILY. OF COURSE WE ARE FROM DISTINCT NATIONS, RACES AND BACKGROUNDS. But in the eyes of God, we are ALL equals in DIGNITY. This is not Racialism,.
Excuse my Bad English.
Friendly,
GIORGOS

Friends, Neighbors, Brothers and Sisters in Christ,

I have been following this thread with growing concern. Do you realize that it only took the Evil One five… only five replies to divert you attention from the good and profitable question that started this thread? “What to do about the Islamic expansion in the US?”

How did race become an issue? The Evil One does not care where he gains his souls. He does not care what colour their skin is, or where they come from, or what job they held, or even how much money they make. He only wants to insure their fall. Our Good and loving God desires that all be saved and come to the knowledge of the Truth.

Orthodoxy is the fullness of the truth, the fidelity to the Apostleic teaching and tradition; it is the religion of grace. It is a way of life; indeed the only way to live so that you can never die.

Do you want to counter Islam? Why? Just BE Orthodox. Just live. As long as you focus on countering something, someone or some idea you cease to be for something. If we will only fast as we are able, pray when we can, sleep when we must and live every day in the effort to become a better Christian we will live in the Grace of God and He will give the answers we need to counter any threat, anywhere.

The unworthy servant of God

Going back to the original question and reflecting on the experience of the respective freedoms of Christians in Moslem countries like Saudi Arabia and Moslems in Western Countries such as the United States and the European Union, I have a thought.

Christians in Saudi may not publicly exhibit their faith, e.g. processions, clerical garb and build churches, etc., while Moslem are free and often encouraged in the West to publicly exhibit their faith including the building of mosques, some paradoxically funded by the Saudi royal family.

Should Western countries have insisted on an equilavence between freedoms offered in Moslem and Western countries? And if there was to be a retrospective and legally reinforced demand for the such, would this be a 'good idea' or simply establish a principle which may be bitterly regretted by the Orthodox at a later date?

Any thoughts, dear brothers and sisters?

Orthodoxy in Greece survived 400 years of oppressive Ottoman rule with secret Church schools and despite the fact that Churches could not be built. I don't think a tit-for-tat approach is either a Christian response nor a peacemaking one.
If you are worried about moslem sharia rule- why would you adopt it's practices?

Personally, I would prefer freedom to slavery. Of course. I might survive slavery, but that's hardly a reason to be ambivalent about about it. Maybe freedom is something of little value to some people, but not me.
