Here is a clearer copy of the icon...if you can translate the text I would like to know what it says.

the error in this, is He hasnt been Glorified a Baint by any Church and therefore an Icon should not have been written, much less be in a church... as one of the moderators knows that I sent him and his family a mounted icon type of Blessed Seraphim rose, but not a glorified Icon..

First, and Last, and Always
in CHRIST

The text is in Italian:

"It is later than you think; hasten therefore and do the work of God..."

True, it cannot be in a church, but it can be written for private devotion if it is written without a halo like this one is.

Indeed...

Why might the text be in Italian?

This I am unsue of, irregardless it is the best icon I have found of Blessed Seraphim and would desire a copy of it so I will be copying the icon and laminating it.

Cannonization begins with lay commemoration.

I may have an answer...Constantine Wright (the one who took the picture of +Lazar censing the image of Fr Seraphim) was one with the Synod of Milan. Of the various groups +Lazar (Puhalo) has been with, was the Milan Synod ever one of those groups? Or was the Ukrainian group he was with ever associated with the Milan Synod?
