Paraklesis to Saint Ieronymos?

Post by Niles_The_New »

Hello everyone, first time poster, long time lurker. I was wondering if there is a Paraklesis/small canon to Saint Ieronymos, and if there is, does an English text exist?

These ecumenists are just like Maris Frasier, but they weight more than 45lbs and aren’t allergic to Argentina sourced cinnamon

St Ieronymos of Aegina? There may be one in English. Hopefully someone in the group knows more! And don't forget until you find one you can always use the canon in the General Menaion

New Akathists are being written sometimes or translated into English, but I've never found one of St. Simeon Stylites the Elder, my patron saint ... do you think the above service works well for his intercession on his feast day or in general?

I understood that besides the General Menaion, anyone could write a paraklesis or Akathist to a Saint. I guess you might need a specific blessing, and it might be de facto a responsibility given to deacons or canonarchs, but I'm not sure.

For centuries there were only two Akathists anyway, one to Christ and another to the Theotokos. Fr. Joseph might know better but they didn't start writing new ones until the 10th century I believe.

Are you talking of Saint Symeon, celebrated on September 1st ? If so check at this link
