I figure this is in Sri Lanka, for the sign that briefly shows looks possibly to be in Sinhalese.
Also because the species pictured here does not roam freely in many countries besides India.

Well, people tend to be freaked out by our videos of alligators in the middle of the road here in Louisiana. Road hazards do tend to take on local flair.

Thailand. You can look up the videos. They have learned to loiter by certain roads and block off the trucks.

Of course, alligators run around all over the place. Depending if you live next to the bayou, it might not be an uncommon sight to walk outside and just see an alligator in your backyard.
