I have been really curious - because i was intently following this entire drama at the time, reading those daily dispatches from then-Sister Maria -
what happened to her companion in resistance, Sister Xenia [Cesena] ?

I remember she had to leave as her health and emotional state were frayed, as could be well be expected under that intense pressure.

But where she go afterwards ? Anybody hear about that ?

Fr. Chad Arneson of the ROCANA says she is not with them. The St. Nicholas Convent website says they're still under Met. Agafangel, but I believe she must have transferred to the GOC-K sometime after 2018.

I thought i remember seeing Mother Agapia at a Rocana event,but she may have left them subsequently.

I noticed TOO the reference to Met Agafangel at her Convent's site. But i figured that was just old, never got updated. It had that look.

Thanks so much, Sava, for checking about this elusive subject ! To me, it's very important to establish in which jurisdiction she is.

Where 25 years ago, Mother Agapia gained a small media splash for her the heroic resistance to the MP, now she's a superstar celebrity !

Perhaps there will be a flurry of followup interviews due to the many people curious to hear more.

Actually, I don't know where they were all this time : everyone who has traveled to the Holy Land or knows about it has a good feel for the terrible injustices suffered by Palestinians, both Christian and Muslim.

It seems American Christians just closed their ears entirely ; had no curiosity to learn a thing about contemporary true conditions in the very land on which their religion was founded ! It's so ironic.

Finally, now, probably 12 MILLION Westerners have viewed the TC interview and most have been shocked.

There was one person online who wrote specifically that she is with GOC-K. I just looked bac to see that post again but the poster had deleted it. I don't know why, could be to not cause jurisdictional discord, or any reason.

I wish she would state her jurisdictional status clearly... !
