I asked some modernist WO and all I found was mealy mouthed slippery slope apologies for what the Ethiopian heretics consider Canon. "It's a spectrum" Then when I call out their lukewarmness, the exact next thing I get is misplaced humor instead of care for the Soul. I'm done. Yea. So, that makes a lot more sense. At one time it was probably in a purer form and has been edited. That’s why some passages seem to be prophetic and others are heretical.

To update the thread. I found the quote from St. John Cassian. It's in the Conferences, Chapters 20 through 24 in Conference 8 deal with it most directly. On the publicly available PDF I found online it's pages 160-165. It's too long to post here in entirety.
