I think that Fr.Seraphim rose of Eternal memory was talking about those super correctedness of those who could not rightly verify an apostolic succession- meaning one of the synods breaking away for reasons of maybe personal opinions rather than Heresy being demonstrated or preached...

Ecumenical Patriarch Jeremiah in 1583, 1587, and 1593, and of the holy
Ecumenical Patriarch Anthimios in 1848. They speak for themselves
