Re: Russian Civil War?

Oh is that right ? It sounds true. Well what's interesting is the original basis of Persian-Russian military cooperation. https://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/commons/thumb/6/64/Nasir_ad-Din_Nadar.jpg/330px-Nasir_ad-Din_Nadar.jpg In the 1870s, this Shah from the Qajar Dynasty requested Tsar Alexa...

Re: SeraphimRose:TrueStory,Private Letters

I had no idea about ANY of that in the 1st part of your post, eish. REALLY ? EW !! Very important facts that may be little known. Now when you say "St Seraphim" toward the end of your post, are you talking about Fr Seraphim Rose ? It sounds like it from the rest, but I wanted to make sure...

Re: Russian Civil War?

I thought it was interesting that a portrait of Tsar Alexander II overlooks the meeting of Putin and Masoud Pezeshkian yesterday, Jan 17, 2025 in Moscow. I didn't see where you pointed out Hypatia, but there are other surprise individuals pictured here. O...

Re: Debate/Discussion: Suaidan v Whiteford

Given these observations, maybe it's a poor idea to have a rematch of Fr Joseph with Fr John Whiteford.

What about an alternative World Orthodox priest instead who is realistic, and has not apparently gone off the rails !?

SeraphimRose:TrueStory,Private Letters

One of the prominent Orthodox Ethos fans, Timothy Honeycutt, wrote a review which I haven't read yet of this book, published in the year 2000. I guess this World Orthodox publicist finally discovered the biography, or else too many people brought it to his attention. But from the remarks, it's clea...

Re: Debate/Discussion: Suaidan v Whiteford

THANK YOU, EISH ! This is a BIG help in trying to sort thru that debate. I was discouraged from listening to more because i felt the unpleasant backdrop, which made the atmosphere more toxic than the earlier debate which was not so bad. VERY VERY INTERESTING remarks. Readers REALLY need this perspe...
