yea thats pretty wierd, if the ROAC has been such a supposed uncanonical source of darkliness and such and such why wouldnt Bp. as to the accusations of ecumenism, they were against Abp. Pavlos of Astoria, who some had witnessed him giving communion to new calendarists, whether or not this is true is a matter of opinion I guess..
As you say they left the synod is 1995, Pavlos wasn't ordained until later.

well, in this case Abp. Valentine was supposedly deported and wouldn't be allowed to enter the country for quite some time, hence it could be disproved by his arrival in the U.S.A., with the full knowledge of customs authorities and the russian consolate.
