An interesting article of Metropolitan Valentin's Suzdal

Post by Lounger »

Here is the link to a story showing the Metropolitan Archbishop to be a very gracious host to visiting Russiphiles. He seems like quite a nice man.

Slava Isusu Hristu!

What a nice article. I am sure it will make any member of ROAC proud. It certainly shows that ROAC isn't some kind of vagante sect. They have real churches, real bishops and clergy, and faithful people. What a blessing. Good night all!

In Christ,

:)

I tried to make it to Suzdal when I was in Russia this Summer, but time didn't allow. Maybe next time. From the pictures I've seen, it looks like kind of a magical place.

Very nice article from a non-Orthodox, indeed!

Interesting but sad note from that article: According to polls, although the majority of Russians call themselves Orthodox, only about three percent attend church regularly, forty percent are indifferent to religion, and five percent are committed atheists.
