Anyone know of a good source for Holy Fathers on the Gospel?
Maybe a good site or a thread here on the forum?
I've had a look around but some of the best stuff is obscure and I like to ask as well.

Do not be shocked by those who teach new doctrines but seem to be worthy of credence. Stand solidly like an anvil under blows. A good athlete suffers blows but wins. St Ignatius.
The Eerdman's Series is on-line:

Sixty-three homilies of Saint Gregory Palamas on the Sunday and Festal Gospels have been published:

Also the commentary of his contemporary Saint Philotheos Patriarch of Constantinople, covering nearly the same Scriptures, have been published:

Thank you, excellent.

All of St. John Chrysostom's 178 homilies on St. Matthew and St. John can be accessed for free online, and are unsurpassed in excellence.
Also accessible online for free is the Catena Aurea or "Golden Chain" of Thomas Aquinas. It's a very lengthy collection of excerpts from earlier Biblical commentators, holy fathers, both East and West, and is therefore not commentary by Aquinas himself who is not recognized as a saint by the Orthodox. It goes verse by verse through each of the four Gospels, with commentary by various fathers for each verse, so you can get a wide perspective from one source. It is similar in layout to the Ancient Christian Commentary on Scripture series, which also includes the Gospels, but the Golden Chain has more lengthy quotations.
St. Cyril of Alexandria's extensive commentaries on St. Luke and St. John are available free online.
St. Augustine has Tractates or Homilies on the Gospel according to St. John available online, like Chrysostom found in the Eerdmans series
Archbishop Averky of Syracuse's Explanation of the Four Gospels should be available online as well.
As far as I know, the following are only in print, and not available online, except perhaps some samples or excerpts:
The 40 Gospel Homilies by St. Gregory the Great, Pope of Rome translated into English.
The commentaries of Blessed Theophylact are popular.
St. Hilary of Poitiers is an early Latin commentator (pre-Augustine, Jerome) on the Gospel of St. Matthew, and this is in the Fathers of the Church Series, in English translation.
St. Jerome's commentary on St. Matthew's Gospel is also in the Fathers of the Church Series.
There are also homilies on the Gospel according to St. Mark by St. Jerome in another volume of the Fathers of the Church series, along with some of the saint's homilies on the Psalms.
St. Gregory of Nyssa has Eight Homilies on the Beatitudes
I am probably overlooking something, but that is at least a start...
I agree with Jonathan.
Thank you very much. This is a treasure.
Lord Jesus Christ, have mercy on me a sinner.
You are both welcome. We could also formulate a list for commentaries on the rest of Scripture as well, including the Old Testament.
