Roman Pope to resign on health grounds

Vatican Radio has announced that the 85 year old Roman Pope is to resign at the end of the month due to his severe decline in health. This is not the first Papal resignation but it is centuries since one did.

Not that any good ever came of German popes in my book. Still what will follow?

See the picture below of lightning striking the dome of St. Peter in the Vatican shortly after the pope resigned.

Why did this lightning bolt strike the Vatican soon after the Pope's resignation? It does not seem like there were storm clouds present. There was also a lightning bolt which struck the Dome of St. Peter at the Council of Vatican I immediately after the doctrines of Papal Infallibility and Supremacy were declared.

Joseph Ratzinger alias Benedict XVI was never Pope in a Roman Catholic sense, he was an usurpator of this office, an apostate from each Christian faith. Many Roman-Catholics (the better part of them) are Sedisvacantists and give the testimony that the seat of the Poe is vacant (=empty) at least till 1957 (!). We True Orthodox say till 1054. We pray that they are coming to the True Orthodox Faith.

It is said that this person has a good chance of being the next Pope: Peter the Roman

I hadn't heard about the lightning strike. I think it presages the further decline, but worse, maybe
almost a schism with in itself, of the Catholic Church.

I felt that despite the liberality of this recent Pope, the next ones would be disastrous beyond measure.

One can see from mainstream coverage that there is HUGE pressure from every quarter for the Catholic Pontiff to
permit "women priests", acceptance of abortion, acceptance of gays, etc.

After Vatican II, there is little fiber left on the part of mainstream Catholics to RESIST !
Maybe they need to study True Orthodox methods and ideas ~

However, I think that this might be the end of an entire era. Not a good one, since Post-vatican II,
but not AS BAD as what may come now.

If that person Maria linked to is a "papabile", Lord Save Catholics !
A totally thin record, nothing to offer, was made an Archbishop by whom ? John Paul II.
At least this Pope had a longstanding reputation as a teacher and theologian. Liberal as he was, he was still a serious
clergyman of the older school.
I doubt there are any other Cardinals who have anything much to offer.

I was wondering who are the candidates, but was avoiding reading the ignorant mainstream assessments.
They often rely for commentary on this one American John [something] who is incredibly liberal. He was never a journalist or scholar or
astute observer of the Vatican for decades. Instead, as he explained himself, he happened to be on the spot when all the camera crews came in
I think for the death of John Paul II> Whereupon this guy, who had as his teacher a notorious Franciscan featured on EWTN
saying all sorts of awful things.
So now they always quote this young man, who has no real background. His main qualification seems to be that he is
American and Catholic [by name] and at least for awhile, was living In Rome, easily available.
Hence we see how superficial the American atheist-Protestant-Jewish media coverage of the Catholic Church really is !

There was a big article on this resignation, which included a large section on the reaction of each of many religious groups
to Benedict XVI. It was pathetic ! They included what the Dalai Lama had said...and even "The Krishna Consciousness Group" - !!

There was, by the way, no mention of what even Patriarch Kirill said or thought, let alone what Metropolitan Agafangel or
our Archbishop Tikhon of Omsk said or believed about this last Pope ...!

I also think that it was not health grounds, but probably this same pressure from the NWO front which discouraged this Pope,
thinking he can't get anything done so may as well throw in the towel.

I think there IS some angle like THIS>
WHAT it is specifically, I obviously can't say.

One hears hints of it in Benedict's talk about "green" subjects. Why would an elderly scholar-Pope be interested in pushing
environmentalism on his world flock ? It doesn't make sense. Surely this was a result of overwhelming pressure by the
Bush-Tony Blair-"illuminati stars" crowd.

Benedict probably just gave up fighting them. Even within his own circles, evil men like Cardinal Bertone,
the Secretary of State were clearly free-lancing and not being dutiful servants of the Pope.
The horrible liar Cardinal Bertone [this is documentable] was pursuing his OWN suspicious agendas. He probably
refused to stop when rebuked by Pope Benedict XVI.

By the way the announcement was published on Feb 10 which is for Catholics, St Scholastica's Day.
Maybe not by accident for a Pope who had chosen the relatively rare name of St Benedict.

{I obviously like to analyze all this ]
