Orthodox and geocentrism, flat-earthism, etc.

Post by Matthew »

Hi Jonathan. Totally with you on geocentrism all my life and up until about a month ago. I have just finished reading a two volume set on Geocentric Universe both according to modern scientists (peer reviewed and world renowned experts in their fields) as well as the second volume going into the details of the Holy fathers and what they said about geocentrism. I never thought I would, but I for the first time in my life I have felt forced to change from the copernican heliocentric theory to the patristic and biblical Geocentric universe model. I have the volumes in PDF.

To the geo whatever, I'm hearing, wha, wha, wha. Like with Charlie Brown and the adults talking? Anybody get this, or is it just me?

Create in me a clean heart, O God, and renew a right spirit within me. (Ps. 50)

No, Jonathan, I am serious. I totally understand your reaction though. All I can say is just read it and judge for yourself if the position is really that crackpot. I promise you if you read this book (you needn't read the whole thing through to get a good idea of its degree of solidity), that you will have a lot more respect for the position than you do now. It carried me further than that, and I have switched over.

Juicing is great if you can do the effort. But, it's nothing compared to being the center of the universe. :)

OK, if I ever have time I'll look into it. But I maintain that whether the earth revolves around the sun, or whether the sun revolves around the earth, is theologically irrelevant.
