Well, it's a non-issue for us since my wife and I stopped wearing our rings around ten years ago (we've been married 17 years). This was according to the practice of our pre-conversion-to-Orthodoxy sect, and we became so accustomed to being ringless that we never put them back on again. Seemed odd to see gold flashing on our hands.
A couple months ago I waxed nostalgic though and got out our rings. They were rather nice antique ones that had never been worn before we bought them, but my ring wasn't even close to fitting anymore. Ah well....
If anyone's seen the movie "Signs" there's a scene where Mel Gibson takes the children into a pizza place and as they're going in, there's a sign next door that says "Newtown Jewelers". That's where we bought our rings. My wife and I met and started dating 22 years ago when I moved in across the street from her family (she was 15, I was 17), just a few blocks from where the "town" scenes of that movie were filmed. Must have been seeing the film that made me take the rings out again...
Anyway, I guess this wasn't much help

P.S. Come to think of it, I do remember switching hands at times, years ago, but this was because the ring-on-the-left interfered with my guitar playing
