Representatives from ROCOR meet with OCA hierarchs
Syosset, NY - November 20, 2006

On Monday, November 20, at the Chancery of the Orthodox Church in America, His Beatitude Metropolitan Herman received representatives of the Russian Orthodox Church Outside of Russia (ROCOR) for a conversation about the ROCOR’s process of reconciliation with the Russian Orthodox Church (Moscow Patriarchate). Also in attendance were His Grace Bishop Nikon of Boston, His Grace Bishop Tikhon of Philadelphia, and Archpriest Leonid Kishkovsky. The ROCOR representatives were Archpriest Alexander Lebedeff, Secretary of the Commission on Negotiations with the Moscow Patriarchate and Rector of Holy Transfiguration Cathedral in Los Angeles, and Priest Serafim Gan, Personal Secretary to His Eminence Metropolitan Laurus of the Russian Orthodox Church Outside of Russia and Rector of the St. Seraphim Church in Sea Cliff, NY.

   What is misleading about, "ROCOR-MP Union Team Talks Union with OCA"? The ROCOR-MP Union Team of Fathers Alexander and Serafim went to the OCA HQ to talk about the ROCOR-MP union. How does the title not describe that in the limited title space?

There are untrue implications....such as a union with OCA...which are not true. It would have been better if you had worded it....

What is wrong? OCA is in communion with MP (and rest of "World Orthodoxy), ROCOR-L will be (or already is in communion with MP and rest of "World Orthodoxy) then ROCOR and OCA will be (or are) in Communion.. or is it not so?

i get the feeling its more complicated than that, since ROCOR was already in communion with Serbia and i think Jerusalem, but yet they weren't in communion with the OCA, Antioch, Alexandria, etc etc.
