New York, November 7, Interfax - The USA are against the unification of the Russian Orthodox Church Outside of Russia and the Church in Russia and tried to prevent this process, says Rev. Andrew Phillips, a ROCOR priest in Great Britain.

In his notes about the All-Diaspora Council, which took place in San Francisco six month ago, he writes that this Council ‘is surely too important for the US government’; while some members of the Council believed that ‘the CIA had funded Internet and other propaganda against the two parts of the Russian Church entering into communion with one another’.

Throughout the work of the Council there was a ‘mysterious SUV’ at the church where it was held. As regards this, the author of the notes ‘presumes that the hall is bugged’. It was only after ‘the two parts of the Russian Church have decided to begin a historic and dramatic conciliar process’, the black SUV disappeared: ‘the resolution passed, they, whoever they are, probably have no more interest’ in the Council’, Father Andrew remarks.

The priest also noted that if he were asked why he was for Russian church unity, he would answer, ‘It is because the devil is against it’.

The author of the notes recalls the reports made at the Council, which stated in particular that the unity is far more important than personal interests, for ‘for disunity is sin’.

One of the speakers at the Council, Archpriest Pimen Simon of an Old Believers’ parish, pointed to ‘a very apt parallel between sectarian Old Believers and a very small number of people in ROCOR’, who kept laying down ever new conditions to the Russian Church of the Moscow Patriarchate.

The priest also relates that Metropolitan Amphilohije of the Serbian Church ‘convinced many waverers’ that ‘dialog with the non-Orthodox should not be abandoned’, and that the most important thing was to overcome division within the Church, since the good time pleasing to God came for it.

I too saw this Suburban, and the men in the suburban parked right in front of the Playground of the cathedral school, they were big(tall and fit) men in suits with ear pieces- they couldnt have been cia, because if it were Cia they wouldve come in and sat thru the whole process and no one couldve said otherwise, in fact the Synod wouldve had to proceed or cancelled the IV all Diaspora meeting- remember the CIA are an inteligence part of U.S.A. and have jurisdiction over most civil and state officials, including military in the U.S.A...
To me they seemed more like KGB, and it makes more sense, as they did look russo , and they just had a "Im Lost" look on there face- Im sure they werent expecting San Francisco to have sooo many different Ethnic people from all over the world in one small area and they couldnt have entered the cathedral, because they have no jurisdiction anywhere except an alley and Russia...
But honestly, these men were private security and they were there only after the presence of Bro Nathaniel, they honestly felt threatened by his presence, as Bro Nathaniel of ROAC made some strong in your face statements, to Metropolitan Laurus himself and the other bishops aswell. But still noone was afraid, as I saw Bishop Mark walking to his visiting residence abouty a block away- and he walked all alone early in the morning and at dark aswell. But the sad thing about Bro Nathaniel is that nothing was accomplished and those in opposition to Rocor-Mp union should have funded Bro Nathaniel and others to go and protest accordingly with signs and printed information for the laity. so many people in opposition with very smart heads on there shoulders ,but no one thought of going and confronting the Clergy and Heirarchs and reminding them it was a serious mistake- the only one was BRO NATHANIEL...now many say this union is bad, and against GOD`s will.now if this is true guess who now has a way better chance of getting saved then me and you -BROTHER NATHANIEL, for his protest in the eyes of the world, or whoever cared(not many people cared in S.F., as this type of stuff happens all the time with the buddhist, and other religions)...we should learn from the roman Catholics, the Societly of St.Pius the Tenth(SSPX) sends there Laity and Brothers and sisters to the Bishops house(with Rome) and prays the rosary outloud, and with signs they beg the Bishop to come back to the church from there ecumenical Apostacy ...
